Arrival in Arkansas

Several people have emailed asking if they could meet us at the airport. We welcome anyone who wants to come, however, it is a late flight that arrives at 9:59 pm on April 15th. We wish it was earlier but hopefully it will at least be on time.
We are so excited about bringing her home!

We have a date!

Yeah! We received travel clearance this morning! I had a great deal of difficulty finding reasonable plane tickets. I called 3 travel agents and they were so expensive so I thought we'd have to leave Drew and Rachel here.
However, I found some flights through Kayak.com. So, praise the Lord, the kids get to come too and meet their little sister the same time that we do!
Please pray for us since the jet from Little Rock to Atlanta is a little small for me. It is a short flight at least. Please pray for Anna Kate that she will adjust well. We look forward to having her home.

waiting

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let you heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 27:14

and they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Passport!

We just got a call from Dillon and we have Anna Kate's passport. We should have travel clearance in 2-4 weeks. Of course, I'm hoping we get it tomorrow! :)

No passport this week

Well, it has been a week and a day since we received emigration permission. I was just sure we'd get her passport this week. It looks like there are many people on the Dillon forum who are just waiting for one thing. I really, really wanted to travel next week since my job will be closed for a while. It will really make the days go by slowly at home. At least we still have things we can do as we get ready for Anna Kate. Please pray for peace for us as we wait and that Anna Kate will transition into our family without being too traumatized. I just can't wait to hold her.

We Have EP!

I went to the Dillon luncheon today. When I walked in, Kimberly and Christy said "Well, Amy, do you have any news for us?" I said "no, not that I know of". Then Kimberly took me into her office and showed me an email that stated that we had emigration permission. Now all we need is her passport and travel clearance.
I'm still stunned. I thought they would call me from Tulsa and tell me but I'm happy to have the news any way I can get it!

still waiting

Still no news. I'm starting to wonder if something else got lost (our visa approval got lost between here and Korea, but that was straightened out last week).
I'd love to get emigration permission this week just to know that she didn't somehow get lost in the paperwork. I am so happy for the other families on the Dillon forum but it's really hard to see progress for the families who got referrals after us and it makes me wonder if something is going wrong with our adoption. It feels like we're being skipped over. I just pray Anna Kate is happy but I know that each day we wait it's just going to be a little harder for her to leave her foster mother.
Anyway, sorry for the "pity party" but I think it helps a little to vent.
Please pray for our entire family.
